An important objective of the RSTA is the continued improvement in the competence of the road surfacing industry’s workforce.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the lifelong process of learning and continuing personal development. It is the means by which you can maintain and enhance your knowledge and skills to complement both your current role and your future career progression.
RSTA Silver Certificate CPD courses are for Contract Managers, Contract Supervisors and Technicians to demonstrate they have received regular up-skill training every 5 years.
The RSTA Silver Certificate is the industry recognized Certificate of Competence to demonstrate acceptable evidence of appropriate training for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the relevant field of surface treatments. All Managers, Agents and Supervisors are required to obtain an RSTA Silver Certificate obtained from the relevant RSTA Technicians Training Course (where available) which must be renewed on a 5-year cycle for the following:

These certificates are awarded upon the satisfactory completion of the end of course test paper on each of the relevant RSTA Silver Certificate courses.
