Mercia Branch Awards 2023 | Thursday 18^th May 2023 | Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham

Following their record breaking Awards Evening in 2022, the IHE Mercia Branch Committee is delighted to announce that their prestigious Awards Evening is returning for 2023, which is kindly supported by our headline sponsor: The Severnside Group; who specialise in the traffic management, data collection, permanent loop cutting and fabrication sectors. The Awards Evening will be hosted at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham (B2 4JQ) on Thursday 18 May 2023 and will feature after dinner entertainment from Paul Sinha from The Chase.

Two new categories have been introduced: “Sustainable Transport Project of the Year” (merging last year’s Transport Planning Project of the Year and Active Travel Award categories) and “Developer Project of the Year” to recognise and celebrate the outstanding work of teams and individuals who are:

• Delivering more sustainable and integrated communities through improvements to walking, cycling and public transport; and
• Reducing the impact of developments on the local environment and/or transport network through innovative scheme design and the adoption of technology and best practice.

Each category invites entries for projects and partnerships that have been implemented between 01 January 2022 and 31 December 2022. All entries should be submitted to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 17 February 2023. Each entry will be reviewed and judged by an independent panel of industry experts with a short list announced on the IHE website on Friday 31 March 2023.
