It is with great sadness that the Road Surface Treatments Association has learnt of the death of our great friend Steve Berry OBE, head of highways maintenance, innovation, resilience, light rail and cableways at the Department for Transport.
Steve spoke at the Association conference in 2016 and was due to speak again at our conference last year prior to its cancellation due to the pandemic. He has brought so much to highway asset management and leaves an ongoing legacy of improvement. A friend to anyone who knew him and an immensely dedicated professional.
