The Road Surface Treatments Association (RSTA) has launched its Autumn 2010 training programme. Topics include slurry-micro surfacing, surface dressing, high friction surfacing and other highway maintenance techniques. The courses, which are held throughout the UK, are all CPD approved and meet the requirements of the road surface industry’s Sector Scheme 13.
Aimed at both junior and experienced operatives and engineers, the courses aim to provide high levels of process, product and plant knowledge, health and safety competence, standards, guidance and innovation awareness. Full content and registration details are available at www.rsta-uk.org on the calendar.
“Our training programme is part of RSTA’s objective to forward the continued improvement in the competence of the road surfacing industry’s workforce”, said Howard Robinson, chief executive of the RSTA. “In addition to the training programme we have three training centres and a RSTA Assessment Centre that enables operatives to achieve NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3”.
